Job Description
Since 1999, Omni Technology Solutions Inc. has developed and markets a proven portfolio of Novell GroupWise, eDirectory, Identity Management and SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop solutions.
As a Canadian-based company with a global footprint, Omni considers the development and expansion of its global channel of Authorised Partners and Resellers to be critical to its immediate and future growth. Approximately one-quarter of Omni's sales are generated through its 190 world-wide channel partners and resellers. We expect that channel sales will account for over half of our revenue in 2008.
The objective of the Director of Sales and Business Development in the EMEA region will be to recruit, train and manage 10-20 Novell Platinum or Gold partners that can generate a minimum of 100,000 euros worth of business each.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, train and manage high-performing Novell and CRM solutions providers in the EMEA region
- In partnership with resellers, provide technical sales presentations to customers and strategic accounts
- Develop, execute, manage and track marketing and channel sales initiatives in the EMEA region
- Co-ordinate Omni's trade show participation, promotions, partner events and training in EMEA region
- Localise Omni's English-language marketing materials for key markets (as required)
- Collect, evaluate, communicate and report on channel information and developments
- Achieve a channel revenue target of 1 million euros in 2008
Skills
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant channel marketing and technical sales experience in the EMEA region
- Strong familiarity with Novell technology and Novell's key channel partners in EMEA
- Familiarity with CRM systems, integration and CRM channels will be an advantage
- Passion for technology and helping people and companies be successful
- Bachelors or Marketing degree. MBA preferred
- Proactive, results-oriented, self-starter with demonstrated ability to manage a channel
- Fluent in German and one other European Language an advantage
- Ability to travel in EMEA and North America
