Introduction to Riva Live - SaaS Cloud Edition


Riva Live is the quickest and easiest way for you to test Riva and start enjoying the benefits of transparent, server-side integration for Microsoft Exchange, Novell GroupWise and the leading CRMs – NO plug-ins required.

A Riva Live account provides you with test access to Riva for a 15-day trial period. After you have tested Riva to your satisfaction, you can choose to deploy Riva on your premises or you can purchase a one-year hosted subscription.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Do NOT use Riva Live to synchronise contacts or calendar events if you have used the Outlook plug-in or manually created CRM calendar or contact items in Exchange. If you have previously used Outlook plug-ins or have manually synchronised data to your CRM, you will need to review pages 3 and 4 of the Riva Integration Server Guide to ensure duplicate entries are not created.

How to Get Started with Riva Live


Step One:  Register for a Test Account

  • Please note that while Riva Live is in beta, you will need to accept the internally generated SSL certificate. Riva Live will be moved to the cloud with a registered SSL certificate when we have completed beta testing. Connect to https://riva.omni-ts.com and register your email address. An account will be created and the password will be sent to you by email.
Step Two:  Configure your Connection Information

  • Login to your Riva Account.
  • Select the icon to configure your CRM.
  • Select the icon to configure your email account.
  • If you choose the option to use the Outlook Anywhere configuration option, you will receive an eamil within four business hours that confirms that your connection has been properly configured.
  • If you are able to use the standard Outlook connection option, you will be able to continue your configuration immediately.
Step Three: Configure your Configuration Policy

  • This step allows you to configure your synchronisation policy. You can configure the sync interval, category and folder names and SmartConvert, AssignTo and ConnectBar options.

What Riva Synchronises


Riva Live delivers transparent, server-side synchronisation of address book data (accounts, contacts, leads), calendar information (meetings, calls, tasks, appointments) and CRM opportunities, CRM cases and CRM quotes.

Riva Live runs in the cloud on a hosted server. Riva is compatible with hosted and on-premise Exchange and CRM systems. Riva Hosted Edition is available for the following supported CRMs – Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics CRM / NAV, SharePoint, Oracle CRM On Demand, SugarCRM, SAP CRM, SageCRM, Saleslogix, info@hand, intelecrm and others. There are no Outlook plug-ins to install, configure or maintain on users' desktops or laptops and no applications to install on your mobile devices.
