Q: Has GEE Whiz been discontinued?
A: No. GEE Whiz has become a member of the GWAVA suite of security products. GEE Whiz version 2.1 is currently in a very successful public BETA and development and support continue. GEE Whiz 2.1 will ship around the BrainShare 2005 timeframe.
Q: How do I get support for GEE Whiz?
A: Effective March 8, all GEE Whiz support is handled by GWAVA. The best place to look for support is on the GEE Whiz support forums that will continue to be hosted at www.omni-ts.com/forum on an interim basis. Customers with valid support contracts can refer to the following link for information for support from GWAVA: www.gwava.com/support/
Q: Will the GEE Whiz forum support continue to be available on the Omni website?
A: Yes. During the transition period, the Omni GEE Whiz 1.4.x and 2.0 BETA forums will continue to be supported. At a future date, forum support for GEE Whiz will be consolidated into the GWAVA support forums.
Q: Where will customers go to get software updates for GEE Whiz 1.4.x and 2.0?
A: North American customers with valid support contacts for GEE Whiz will continue to receive updates to their software from www.omni-ts.com. Customers from outside North America will receive their updates through the GWAVA channel and through www.gwava.com.
Q: Where will customers be able to buy GEE Whiz?
A: North American customers can continue to buy GEE Whiz through Omni, through Omni resellers, through GWAVA Authorized Partners and resellers. Omni is the North American Master Distributor for GEE Whiz. For customers outside North America, GEE Whiz is available to be purchased through GWAVA Authorized Partners and resellers.
Q: Now that GEE Whiz is a member of the GWAVA family of security products, how can GEE Whiz customers take advantage of GWAVA's other products?
A: GEE Whiz customers with valid software maintenance contracts can take advantage of the upgrade option to get full GWAVA protection "from the inside out". This includes MTA and POA scanning.
