We had nothing but problems with eTrust AV 7.1 and Netware with GeeWhiz. We ended up setting up a seperate geework directory on the root of a volume and excluding the rest of the GEEWHIZ and NOVONYX(Since we run Netmail) directories for scanning. With Groupwise there is the thread here or in the 1.4.x group that tells what to exclude from there.

I know this isn't really a solution to your current situation but we ended up dumping eTrust Av 7.1 and going to Kaspersky for Netware. We haven't had any problems with Kaspersky and GeeWhiz or any other program for that matter. It reminds me a lot of Cheyenne 4.5.

We simply gave up on CA actually patching eTrust AV 7.1 to work with NetWare correctly.
