We are currently running 1.3.1 on Demo and looking to purchase the full product in the near future. Could you please assist me with a few configurations questions?

1. Currently we are blocking attachments with specific extensions. Where do these attachment go if they are blocked? Is there anyway to include a message with the original email stating it had an attachment that was blocked?

2. It is possible to have a two part filtering rule? Example if the message has a specific subject line and also has an attachment with a specific extension, to block the attachment? To be blocked, the email must meet both items.

Thanks for all of your help.

Hi!

1. With 1.3.1, there`s two ways filtered attachments work (be it file-type or file-name). The first way is to replace the attachment with a text message (Which can be customised via the web interface.). The second way, is to disable the replacement message, and here the attachment will be stripped from the message.

With 1.3.1b (the latest one, which should be on the internet), we changed method two to just delete the entire message (due to the new virus that`s out and about). We should be modifying this so it`ll optionally delete the entire message, or only remove the attachment.

2. Hmm, not right now, tho it`s an interesting idea. Perhaps implementing something like SIEVE would be a good idea?

Jeff
