Question from a customer:

I am looking for the documentation for the setup of a dual server installation for Omni Syncaphone Server on a different server platform than the one hosting Groupwise Webaccess Netware 5.1

To install Omni Syncaphone in a "split server" environment, it must be installed on the WebAccess Application Server, not the WebAccess Agent server.  These four links from Novell provide additional information on "split server" installations:

Syncaphone server will not work with NetWare 5.1.  Your server must meet the minimum requirements for Java and Tomcat:

  • Java 1.4.x
  • Tomcat 3.3 or higher
