My smartphone does not recognise the CAB-file als software, that I can install. So I cannot test omni (using Groupwise) on my Smartphone Orange SPV C500. Is that a known topic?

I've followed the installation instructions (option 2), and have copied the CAB-file to the storage card of my phone, but when I click at the CAB file, nothing happens. The omni-software isn't in the list of software.

The C500 uses Win Mobile 2003 SE.

At this time, Omni Mobile does not support devices that do not have a touch screen like your phone and the Cingular 2125.  A version of Omni Mobile for non-touch screen Windows Mobile 5 and Pocket PC phones is on the roadmap to be available after Version 1.1.

Hello, Mary.

The Orange SPV C500 phones were distributed by the Orange Network in the U.K. (http://www.orange.co.uk).  As near as I can tell, the phone is currently out of stock ( http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/show/handsets/pay_as_you_go/or ange/all).

This forum is for the purpose of supporting mobile devices that are running the Omni Mobile client.  We ask our customers to refrain from using any Omni forum to pose device purchase related questions.

We do not have a planned delivery date for this feature.  Work on non-touch Windows Mobile 5 devices is scheduled to begin after we have completed work on the BlackBerry device client.  As soon as we have a client available, we may be asking for beta testers.  If you would like to apply as a beta tester in advance of the release date, please send an email to aldo@omni-ts.com.
