Question from Customer:

Please explain the proper setup to quarantine spam email.

We are now using 2.0, and what happens is spam is identified and added to the quarantine, but the email is then passed to the user as well. I then configured re-direction to a holding account, but the mailbox on this account is getting too large. This is also very inefficient, as the spam is then in two places. Thank you for your assistance.

Resolution:

"Enable Spam Identification" was enabled. According to GWAVA support, this causes the original email to be forwarded to the user, even if you've selected "quarantine spam".

Turn on 'Delete On Quarantine' under the general options?

This was what I was told also by support, until I read the forums and found out that you need to do what Jeff said.

Maybe a memo needs to go out to the support folks?

As said in another thread.... DOCUMENTATION UPDATES...

Maybe just a place for quick updates and readme files that we can look into!  Many of us have followed threads, but all of them are tough!

Andy just sent me an email, we're going through the docs again.
