Omni Mobile Manual Uninstallation Instructions on NetWare

These steps are to be used to remove the Omni Mobile server installed on a NetWare server instead of using the uninstaller.jar file. Using the (OPTIONAL) steps will remove all traces of Omni Mobile.

Note:

    * ${tomcat} is the Web application directory you entered when you installed Omni Mobile.
   - sys:\tomcat\4 (NW 6.5)
   - sys:\tomcat\33 (NW 6.0)

    * ${apache} is the Web server directory you entered when you installed Omni Mobile if you are running a GW 6.5.x environment.
   - sys:\Apache2 (NW 6.5)
   - sys:\Apache (NW 6.0)

    * ${webacc} is the WebAccess installation directory you entered when you installed Omni Mobile.
   - sys:\novell\webaccess

    * ${WEB-INF} is the Web application path for the version on tomcat and GroupWise and can be one of:
   - sys:\tomcat\4\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF (GW 6.5 on NW 6.5)
   - sys:\tomcat\4\webapps\gw\WEB-INF (GW 7 on NW 6.5)
   - sys:\tomcat\33\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF (GW 6.5 on NW 6.0)
   - sys:\tomcat\33\webapps\gw\WEB-INF (GW 7 on NW 6.0)

Steps

1. Stop tomcat.

    * TC4STOP on NetWare 6.5/OES
    * TOMCAT33STOP on NetWare 6.0

2. Delete these classes sub-directories.

    * ${WEB-INF}\classes\com\omnits
    * ${WEB-INF}\classes\javax
    * ${WEB-INF}\classes\palmdb

3. Delete configuration files.

    * ${WEB-INF}\classes\application.properties
    * ${WEB-INF}\classes\applicationContext.xml
    * ${WEB-INF}\classes\changes.log
    * ${WEB-INF}\classes\license.key
    * ${WEB-INF}\classes\log4j.xml
    * ${WEB-INF}\classes\messages.properties
    * ${WEB-INF}\classes\omnimobile.properties
    * ${WEB-INF}\classes\uninstaller.properties
    * ${WEB-INF}\classes\server.key
    * ${WEB-INF}\classes\version.properties

4. (OPTIONAL) Delete or Rename (recommended) the data directory and log directory.

    * Delete or rename the ${tomcat}\data folder
    * Delete or rename the ${tomcat}\logs folder OR change directory to the ${tomcat}\logs folder and delete all log files with 'omnimobile' in the filename.

5. Restore web.xml.

    * Change directory to ${WEB-INF}\.
    * Delete web.xml.
    * Rename web.xml.omnimobile to web.xml.
    * (OPTIONAL) Delete all web.xml-<date-time> files

6. Restore template files (for GW 6.5 and 7.0 using frames).

    * Change directory to ${WEB-INF}\classes\com\novell\webaccess\templates\frames
    * Delete features.htt, and caption.htt
    * Rename features.htt.omnimobile to features.htt, and caption.htt.omnimobile to caption.htt
    * (OPTIONAL) Delete any files that have "omnimobile" in the file name

AND/OR

6. Restore template files (for GW 7.0.x using css templates).

    * Change directory to ${WEB-INF}\classes\com\novell\webaccess\templates\css
    * Delete features.htt, and caption.htt
    * Rename features.htt.omnimobile to features.htt, and caption.htt.omnimobile to caption.htt

7. Restore WebAccess configuration file.

    * Change directory to ${webacc}
    * Delete webacc.cfg.
    * Rename webacc.cfg.omnimobile to webacc.cfg
    * (OPTIONAL) Delete all webacc.cfg-<date-time> files

8. (OPTIONAL) Remove the Omnimobile folders.

    * Change directory to sys:\
    * Remove the Omnimobile folder and all child folders and files

9. (OPTIONAL for all GW 6.5.x installations) Remove the web server files.

    * Change directory to ${apache}\htdocs
    * Remove the \com\novell\webaccess\images\gwmobile folder
    * Remove the \com\novell\webaccess\images\omnimobile folder
    * Remove the \com\omni-ts folder

OR

9. (OPTIONAL for all GW 7.0.x installations) Remove the web server files.

    * Change directory to ${tomcat}\webapps\gw\
    * Remove the \com\novell\webaccess\images\gwmobile folder
    * Remove the \com\novell\webaccess\images\omnimobile folder
    * Remove the \com\omni-ts folder

10. Start tomcat.

    * TOMCAT4 on NetWare 6.5/OES
    * TOMCAT33 on NetWare 6.0

11. Stop and start the Apache web server.

    * GWWEBDN and GWWEBUP (NW 6.0)
    * WEBAP2DN and WEBAP2UP (NW 6.5)
