For some reason our Gee Whiz 1.4.10 started filtering 99.99% of inbound messages based on their content. Content Filtering was switched on and I'm not aware of anyone changing the filters but that's something else for me to worry about.
I realised that something was up after our GWIA had not processed any inbound msgs for a few hours. I thought it was our ISP (as usual) that was the problem but they claimed (correctly) innocence.
Anyway I brought down the GEE Whiz and GWIA and found around 6500 files in the sys:gee\gw\filter folder which seems to be where Gee had 'quarantined' these messages.
So I loaded GEE & the GWIA on the server and was prepared to switch off content filter and release the 6500 or so messages in the FILTER folder. However, after GEE had load about 5000 of these messages disappeared and I cannot find them anywhere. My autopurge of quarantined messages is set at 4 days so I'm at a loss as to why Gee Whiz has deleted most of them.
I've searched all directories and cannot find any trace of the 'deleted' messages. The NetWare volume is set to autopurge so I can't try and recover anything.
Any ideas why these messages were deleted before I had a chance to release them and whether they could be somewhere hidden away that I can recover them from?
Thanks
Matthew
