Everyone,
I apologize for the confusion, but the reality is very simple:
- If you have renewed your GEE Whiz maintenance in the last 12 months, you have effectively been paying for GWAVA maintenance. If you renew your maintenance and it's called "GWAVA" maintenance, you can still continue to use GEE Whiz 2.x under the maintenance terms.
- You can trade in your GEE Whiz license for a GWAVA 3.6 license at any time. All you have to do is email sales@gwava.com. You don't have to wait for GWAVA 4.
- Speaking of GWAVA 4, we are on track for a Beta of the Linux version by month's end, with a view to ship in July.
- Happy with GEE Whiz 2.x? No problem. As long as you are on "GWAVA" maintenance, you're entitled to GEE Whiz software updates and support. For now, we are commiting to issuing updates and fixes for GEE Whiz until at least the end of the year. This may be extended into 2007, but that decision has not yet been taken.
- Also, GEE Whiz customers are about to be offered an alternative to the GWAVA upgrade. We are releasing an all new version of GWAVIX, our Linux-based SMTP Proxy. GWAVIX 3 is almost entirely developed by the same team that brought you GEE Whiz. I think you will find it a very worthy successor to GEE Whiz, and it just might be the ideal upgrade for anyone who's a fan of the old GEE Whiz. You can try it out at http://gwavix.gwava.com/
So to summarize, by paying your maintenance you have your choice between GEE Whiz 2, GWAVA 3.6, GWAVIX 3 and the upcoming GWAVA 4.
