Omni Mobile is compatible with all versions of NetWare that support
Java 1.4.x. By default, this support should be included when you
do the update to the current versions of GroupWise and/or service
packs. Additional information can be found on Novell's support
site.
TID number 2971008 indicates that Support Pack 8 for
NetWare 5.1 includes updates for both JVM 1.3.1 and JVM 1.4.1.
However, according to the NJVM site
(http://forgeftp.novell.com/jvm/README.html) the system requirements
for the 1.4.3 JVM are NW6 SP4+ or NW6.5 SP1+. We posted a
question on the NetWare forum and received a response from Anders
Gustafsson (volunteer sysop) suggesting that there was a typo in the
SP8 readme.txt file:

only supported on NW 6.0 and above

This leads us to believe that unless Novell can provide an installer
for JVM 1.4.x for NetWare 5.x, then Omni Mobile is not supported on
NetWare 5.1.
