I've just completed the installation of Omni Mobile on our Webaccess server. When i try to connect using an Qtek 9100 PocketPC (Windows Mobile 5) i get the following errors:

Information:
RequestCryptography.Decrypt: Exception: Automation error -
Unspecified error

after hitting OK

Information:
TextInElementWithDefault: Exception:
Automation error - Unspecified error

after hitting OK

Information:
CommandResponsParser. HasError: Exception:
Automation error - Unspecified error

Yet another OK

Information:

[cmnLogin.tmrKickHTTP_TimerEvent]
Exception: Automation error - Unspecified error

Then the 'sending request' keeps going on for a while

Environment:
NetWare 6.5 sp2, GW & Webaccess 6.5, Tomcat 4, Java 1.2.4_04, we're not using SSL.

Installing the software on my iPaq H5450 with PPC2002 does work. Installing on an iPaq HX4700 (with 640x480) works fine to. This amazed me.

Because you say 320x240 is supported portrait and landscape. And this doesn't work at all on my Qtek 9100. If i open the keyboard, the screen turns 90 degrees. OmniMobile seems hard programmed to use 320x240 resolution, so buttons that are on the bottom of your screen are gone. Well, you just can't reach them

Furthermore i can't sync my addressbook. I've selected the right addresbook in webaccess. But it doesn't appear on my PPC.

Hello, Rogier.

Based on the time of your post, I think you might have just missed downloading the most recent version of Omni Mobile.  A new version was released at 9:00 p.m. February 6, 2006.  Please download this version and let us know if the encryption error still occurs.

Good to hear that the support for the new Windows Mobile 640x480 form factor is working as designed.

It will also work fine with your Qtel 9100.  Please note that when using the Qtek 9100 and other "horizontal mode", full keyboard devices, you will need to start Omni Mobile AFTER you turn the device into horizontal mode.  The tree view screen can not change dynamically.  This defect has been noted and will be fixed in a future release.  For now, if you make sure you change to horizontal mode before you start Omni Mobile, you will be able to take advantage of the full-size screen and keyboard of your Qtek 9100.  I will ask for this information to be added to the user manual.  It has already been added to the FAQ at:

http://www.omni-ts.com/mobile-groupwise/questions.html

Regarding the address book, after downloading the version that was released late on February 6, if you have confirmed that you have selected the address book in WebAccess and it is not being synchronised to your device, please send an email to support@omni-ts.com to initiate a support incident and we will send you a debug version of Omni Mobile to track down the problem.

I look forward to your feedback on Omni Mobile on the Qtek 9100.

Best regards,

Aldo Zanoni
CEO, Omni Technology Solutions Inc.
