Question from customer:

Since we installed Omni Mobile, Startx keeps loading on the NetWare server. If I unload the Java GUI on the server it is being started again after using Omni Mobile. Is Startx needed by the Omni Mobile WebAccess component? 

Answer:

Yes, the JAVA Console is required by Omni Mobile running on NetWare / OES servers to support statistics gathering.  We are working on an option to gather statistics without Startx in a future release.

Omni Mobile provides an ability for each user to look at the statistics of data flowing between WebAccess and their mobile device.  Users can login to WebAccess, select the Omni Mobile tab (GroupWise 7) or icon (GroupWIse 6.x) and select the statistics tab.  There users will be able to view thier statistics for the current month.  Statistics are updated every night at 1:00 AM local time.
