Question:  What should I do if I lose a device with Omni Mobile installed?

Answer:  You need to remove the data from the device and disable the Omni Mobile client:
  1. Login into your GroupWise WebAccess account.
  2. Select the Omni Mobile icon (GroupWise 6.5) or tab (GroupWise 7.x).
  3. Find "Device Status" on the "General" page.
  4. Locate your device and choose "Poison Pill then Disable" from the drop-down menu.
  5. Click "Update".
The next time that the Omni Mobile client contacts the server it will be given a "Poison Pill" update which will delete the UserData and disable the client.

To provide better security on the device we recommend one of two options:
  • Disable Automatic Login - in the client options, remove the check for "Automatic Login",

    OR

  • set a password on the device using the password feature of the device's operating system.
