Hello support-team,

we are testing OmniMobile for a while now and we like it's grouwise-feeling and it's easy-to-use handling. Anyway, we discovered a strange problem.
I update my mailbox and I receive an email. The next time I update I receive the same email again, and so on.
This is annoying because if you try to delete the double mails and update again you will receive it again. So the problem stays and the only way to get rid of the mails is to delete the user data file and update again.

Sounds familiar to you? So maybe you know an answer?

Thanks in advance
Mich@el

Can you please provide some additional information:

  1. What kind of device are you using?
  2. What release of Omni Mobile are you using?
  3. Did you recently upgrade the client software on the device?
Regards,
Gordon

We use two kinds of devices: iPaq hw6915 and Qtec 9100. We use the latest version of OmniMobile (Version 2.2.). All devices use the original client software as installed two weeks ago. This was the first time we installed OmniMobile clients on the devices. We deleted on some of the devices the "user data" file a couple of times, which will be rebuild after logging in from the device. By doing so, the double mail problem is resolved...for some time.

Can you login into GroupWise WebAccess, look at the Omni Mobile > General page and tell me how many devices you see in "Device Status".

Gordon

I just checked this and indeed: my personal account shows me one device with subscription: "device #4"

A colleague's account shows also one device but his number is 11.

In our test we use only 4 devices. Though we reinstalled OmniMobile on each device a couple of times. But when we deleted the old version from the device we manually deleted all maps (user data).

regards Mich@el

Hi,

Are you reusing the saem set of PDB files, or are you recreating new PDB files for each reinatallation of the client, or are you just upgrading the existing client on the device.  Please feel free to call me at 780.423.4200 Ext 226 if you want to discuss this.

Regards,
Gordon
