Question:  Will the Desktop Multiplier work on Microsoft Windows operating systems?

Answer:  No (and Yes!).  The Linux Desktop Multiplier requires the Linux Operating System to multiply Linux desktops using systems that meet the required hardware and operating system requirements

Yes, it is possible to run Windows applications on a Linux Desktop.  For "native" applications, a number of our customers use (and we strongly recommend) Win4Lin.  For Windows emulation software, you can use WINE or Crossover Office. You can also use connect to Windows Terminal Servers and similar systems from Multiplied Linux Desktops by using the RDP protocol to run Windows applications remotely. Citrix / Tarantella systems can be used to deliver remote Windows applications on a Linux desktop.
