Question:  I recently changed my GroupWise password and now Omni Mobile on my device reports an invalid password error.  How can I change passwords in Omni Mobile?

Answer:  If you are not prompted for a username and password when you start Omni Mobile on your device, you are running the client in "Automatic Login" mode.  This mode caches your username and password from the last successful login and is the default mode.  In this case, the client should open but you will be in "offline" mode.

To change the password:

  1. Open "Menu" > "Client Options".
  2. Remove the check beside "Automatic Login"
  3. Tap "Save"
  4. Close the Omni Mobile client.
  5. Run the Omni Mobile client.  Enter the username and new password.  The Omni Mobile will cache the username and password for future use.
  6. (Optionsl) Open ?Menu" > "Client Options" and add the check beside "Automatic Login" and tap "Save" if you want to return the device to its original settings.
