If you are experiencing abnormal challenges with the Omni Mobile server, e.g. missing graphics, white detail pages for Omni Mobile, license errors, or errors when you use the "Update" button, please follow these steps:
- Do Not uninstall Omni Mobile server until you have completed the remaining steps.
- Stop Tomcat (or W3SVC in Windows running GW 6.5).
- Wait at least 60 seconds to give processes a chance to stop and write out to log files.
- Make copies of the following files:
- omnimobile.log and most recent omnimobile.log_<date>.log normally found in:
- sys:tomcat\#\logs (NetWare)
- /var/opt/novell/tomcat4/logs (SUSE)
- c:\novell\java\logs (Windows / GW 6.5)
- c:\novell\tomcat5.5\logs (Windows / GW 7)
- web.xml and web.xml.omnimobile normally found in:
- sys:tomcat\#\webapps\gw\WEB-INF (NW / GW 7)
- sys:tomcat\#\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF (NW / GW 6.5)
- /var/opt/novell/tomcat/webapps/gw/WEB-INF (SUSE)
- no web.xml files on Windows / GW 6.5
- C:\Novell\tomcat5.5\webapps\gw\WEB-INF\web.xml (Win / GW 7)
- omnimobile.properties, uninstaller.properties, log4j.xml, versions.properties and license.key normally found in:
- sys:tomcat\#\webapps\gw\WEB-INF\classes (NW / GW 7)
- sys:tomcat\#\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\classes (NW / GW 6.5)
- /var/opt/novell/tomcat4/webapps/gw/WEB-INF/classes (SUSE)
- c:\novell\java\servlets (Win / GW 6.5)
- c:\novell\tomcat5.5\webapps\gw\WEB-INF\classes (Win / GW 7)
- for GroupWise WebAccess 6.5.x running on Windows servers (only), ServletGateway.log, Servletgateway.properties, Servletgateway.properties.omnimobile, servlets.properties, servlet.properties.omnimobile, stdout.log, and urlmap.properties normally found in:
- c:\novell\java\servlets (Win / GW 6.5)
- omni_admin.script file normally found in:
- sys:tomcat\#\data (NetWare)
- /var/opt/novell/tomcat4/data (SUSE)
- c:\novell\java\data (Windows / GW 6.5)
- c:\novell\tomcat5.5\data (Windows / GW 7)
- webacc.cfg and webacc.cfg.omnimobile normally found in:
- sys:novell\webaccess (NetWare)
- /opt/novell/groupwise/webaccess (SUSE)
- c:\novell\webaccess or c:\webaccess (Windows)
- auto_install.xml normally found in:
- sys:omnimobile
- /var/opt/omnimobile
- c:\novell\omnimobile or c:\omnimobile
Send an email to support@omni-ts.com, attach the above files and include the following information:
SUBJ: Omni Mobile Critical Error
- Server OS version including service packs, patches, etc. (e.g. NetWare 6.5 SP 4)
- GroupWise WebAccess version (e.g. GroupWise 6.5.5)
- Omni Mobile build number (e.g. 2006.09.05.472 - look in versions.properties)
- Error messages observed
- Description of problem
