Desktop Multiplier 3.0.3 is available for download.  Recent releases include the following enhancements:

Desktop Multiplier 3.0.3 (released 2007.02.26):

  • Support new Multi-X server based on X11R7.1
  • Upgrade touchscreen driver to evtouch 0.8.1
  • Add blacklist handling module and config file for input devices
  • Upgrade device config daemons

Desktop Multiplier 2.2.7 (released 2006.12.15):

  • Support more Linux distributions: Fedora Core 6, Ubuntu 6.10, Edubuntu 6.10, Dreamlinux 0.5-pre5
  • Audio device support on Fedora Core 6, Ubuntu 6.06/610 with extra package (separate audio support package required)
  • Improved USB-PS/2 adapter support
  • Multilingual keyboard layout support on Debian-based distros
  • Run authentication dialog for userful-control-panel
  • Better hotplug support

You must have a current licence with software upgrade protection and support to upgrade to this version.

Desktop Multiplier is not designed to allow a newer version to be installed over an existing installed version.  To perform a trouble-free upgrade of Desktop Multiplier, you must follow these steps:

  1. Logon as the root user.
  2. Open a terminal session and run the uninstaller script.
  3. Restart your workstation.
  4. Logon as the root user.
  5. Open a terminal session and run the installer script for the latest release.

You can refer to the "Desktop Multiplier Setup Guide" for exact steps to uninstall and install Desktop Multiplier.  Please contact Omni support by email or at +1.780.423.4200 to report problems.
