Hi

Have a problem with Calendar days which have notes as well as appointments, viewing these days gives us an error on the PDA screen. We are using a mixture of WM 5.0 devices (smartphone and pocket pc's) and all devices are having the same error.

the errors I get are:

cmnDayView.SetupForDay: Exception: Object variable or with block variable not set

Then I click ok on the first error to get this same error again:

cmnDayView.Form_Activated: Exception: Object variable or With block variable not set

It lets me see the notes but no callendar items when you clear the error twice

Days without notes look perfect in the callendar view and work perfectly its just these days with the green number (number of notes) which have the issue.

Everything else seems to work really well!

Regards

Duncan

Hello, Duncan.

Can you tell us what version of the Omni Mobile client you have installed?

Hello, Duncan.

There is a new version of the client (release 2.2.5.48) available.  Please uninstall the existing client and delete the \Program Files\Omni Mobile\UserData folder on your device.  You can then download and install the latest client and provision your account.  Please make sure that you set the appropriate user policies.  You should refer to:
Please let us know if that resolves your problem.

Regards,

Hello, Duncan.

Please send me an email (gordw@omni-ts.com) so that I can reply with a link to a debug version of the clinet.  A debug client will produce a trace log that will help to determine the cause of the problem.

Regards,

I am receiving the same error with one of our users with the current version of the client.  Using the debug client would be difficult for this neophyte.  I'll stay tuned for the fix, but I just wanted you to know it wasn't a completely isolated event.

Hello, Duncan (and Kevin).

I emailed the download link to you Duncan.  For both of you, if you can email me (gordw@omni-ts.com) a copy of the .PDB files from \UserData folder on the device to me, I'll have our developer take a look at them.  If you are experiencing the problem on a Palm OS device, connect the device to the hotsync cable and perform a hot sync (without installing anything).  This will place a copy of all of the files from the Palm device into the backup directory on the connected PC, e.g.
c:\Program Files\palmOne\<username>\Backup

Regards,
