Omni Mobile Manual Uninstallation Instructions for
GroupWise 6.5.x on Windows Servers


These steps are to be used to Delete Omni Mobile installed on a Windows server hosting GroupWise WebAccess 6.5.x instead of using the uninstaller.jar file.  Using the (OPTIONAL) steps will Delete all traces of Omni Mobile.

Note:

    * ${java} is the jave directory used by GroupWise WebAccess.
       - c:\novell\java (GW 7.5)

    * ${iis} is the Web server directory you entered when you installed
       Omni Mobile if you are running a GW 6.5.x environment.
       - c:\inetpub\wwwroot

    * ${webacc} is the WebAccess installation directory you entered
       when you installed Omni Mobile
       - c:\novell\webaccess

    * ${servlets} is the Web application path for the Novell Servlet
       Gateway (GW 6.5).
       - c:\novell\java\servlets (GW 6.5)

Steps

1.  Stop the W3SVC service.

2.  Delete these ${servlets} sub-directories.

    * ${servlets}\com\omnits
    * ${servlets}\javax
    * ${servlets}\palmdb

3.  Delete configuration files.

    * ${servlets}\application.properties
    * ${servlets}\applicationContext.xml
    * ${servlets}\changes.log
    * ${servlets}\license.key
    * ${servlets}\log4j.xml
    * ${servlets}\messages.properties
    * ${servlets}\omnimobile.properties
    * ${servlets}\uninstaller.properties
    * ${servlets}\server.key
    * ${servlets}\version.properties

4. (OPTIONAL) Delete or rename (recommended) the data directory and log directory.

    * Delete or rename the ${java}\data folder
    * Delete or rename the ${java}\logs folder OR change directory to the ${java}\logs folder and delete all log files with 'omnimobile' in the filename.

5. Restore ServletGateway files

    * Change directory to ${servlets}\ folder
    * Delete Servletgateway.properties
    * Rename Servletgateway.properties.omnimobile to Servletgateway.properties
    * Delete Servlet.properties
    * Rename Servlet.properties.omnimobile to Servlet.properties
    * (OPTIONAL) Delete all Servletgateway.properties-<date-time> files
    * (OPTIONAL) Delete all Servlet.properties-<date-time> files

6. Restore template files.

    * Change directory to ${servlets}\com\novell\webaccess\templates\frames
    * Delete features.htt, and caption.htt
    * Rename features.htt.omnimobile to features.htt, and caption.htt.omnimobile to caption.htt
    * (OPTIONAL) Delete any files that have "omnimobile" in the file name
    * Change directory to ${servlets}\com\novell\webaccess\templates
    * Delete the \css and \gwmobile folders

7. Restore WebAccess configuration file.

    * Change directory to ${webacc}
    * Delete webacc.cfg.
    * Rename webacc.cfg.omnimobile to webacc.cfg
    * (OPTIONAL) Delete all webacc.cfg-<date-time> files

8. (OPTIONAL) Delete the Omnimobile folders.

    * Change directory to c:\novell
    * Delete the Omnimobile folder and all child folders and files

9. (OPTIONAL) Delete the web server files.

    * Change directory to ${iis}
    * Delete the \com\novell\webaccess\images\gwmobile folder
    * Delete the \com\novell\webaccess\images\omnimobile folder
    * Delete the \com\omni-ts folder

10. Start the W3SVC service.
