Problem:  While performing an installation of the Omni Mobile server on a NetWare 6.5 server, I am unable to locate the path for the WEBAC65A.WAA file and the installation will not proceed.

Cause:  This is an instance where the GroupWise WebAccess Agent is configured to start without using a .WAA file by placing the startup parameters in the STRTWEB.NCF file.  When the STRTWEB.NCF file is opened the line reads:

load SYS:SYSTEM\gwinter /ph=\\FS1\MAIL\GWSYS\GWDOM\WPGATE\WEBAC65A /user=.admin.mycompany /password=password

Resolution:  With this installation:
  1. Modify the STRTWEB.NCF file to add /threads=192 at the end of the load line:

    load SYS:SYSTEM\gwinter /ph=\\FS1\MAIL\GWSYS\GWDOM\WPGATE\WEBAC65A /user=.admin.mycompany /password=password /threads=192

Once the line has been modified, save the STRTWEB.NCF file and restart the WebAccess Agent.

  2. Confirm that there are no serious errors and that the Max Threads have increased from 12 to 192.

  3. In the Omni Mobile server installation, change from a "Single Server" to a "Split Server" installation and complete the remaining steps.

(NOTE - You will not have to manually modify the .WAA file as indicated in the Admin Guide as steps 1 and 2 above accomplished the same thing.)
