I am trying to Create Account with "Omnimobile-Desktop.exe". I have a Qtek 9100.

Although my GW web access link works https://webmail.bancocaroni.com.ve, when I try to access from the program it doesn't work.

May you help me?

Hello, Gustavo.

Please respond to the following questions:

1.  Have you followed the instructions to create a user profile for this user? (see "Create User Profile Quick Start Guide")

2.  Do you have sun java installed on the computer that is running omnimobile-desktop.exe?

3.  Are there any error windows opening when you run omnimobile-desktop.exe?

4.  When you used the omnimobile-desktop.exe program, did you specify the URL to the GroupWise WebAccess authentication page?

Regards,

Gordon,

1.- When I go through my Group Wise Web Access System the "look" is not like shown in "Create User Profile Quick Start Guide". Moreover, when I went into GW Web Access I can read my emails but can`t find any link named Omni like appears in the file.

2.- I have Java on my PC

3.-  The error tha appears while runing Omni desktop is "Could not find the host name"

4.- I specify the current url (the same I use to go into GW through Internet Explorer).

Hope this clarify and help ypu to help me.

Gustavo

Hello, Gustavo.

It appears that you have several problems:

1.  The Omni Mobile server installation is broken.  The incorrect paths may have been specified during the installation of the Omni Mobile server component.  Please refer to "Reporting Omni Mobile Server Problems".

2.  You are not following the correct steps to enable users on Omni Mobile are:

STEP 1 - Install the Omni Mobile Server as described in the "Omni Mobile Admin Guide"

STEP 2 - Authorize the users for Omni Mobile as described in the "Omni Mobile Admin Guide"

STEP 3 - Have the user configure their Omni Mobile user profile as described in "Create User Profile Quick Start Guide"

STEP 4 - Install the Omni Mobile client onto the device as described in the applicable Client Installation Quick Start Guides available at http://www.omni-ts.com/documentation/mobility/

You may want to take a look at some flash tutorials that demonstrate the entire process:

Step 1 - Server Installation on NetWare » (4 min)
