Problem:  When I log in to WebAccess as the Omni Mobile administrator, I see:

"Get user profile error!"

Cause:  This is caused when the eDirectory admin account was specified as the Omni Mobile admin account during installation of the Omni Mobile server. 

Resolution:  The recommended corrective action is to create a GroupWise account named 'omadmin' or 'mobileadmin' and use it for Omni Mobile administration.  The omnimobile.properties file will need to be manually changed to identify the correct admin account:
  1. Create a GroupWise account to use as the Omni Mobile admin account, e.g. omadmin. Confirm that the account can login into WebAccess and then logout of WebAccess.
  2. Stop Tomcat or the w3svc (for GW 6.5 on Windows) on your server.
  3. Open the omnimobile.properties file and modify the admin.userid = parameter to identify the correct GroupWise account.  The correct syntax is <GW login name>.<PO name>.<Domain name>, e.g. omadmin.PO1.DOM1.
  4. Change the activation.email = parameter to identify the correct email address for the admin account, e.g. omadmin@mail.mycompany.com.
  5. Save the omnimobile.properties file.
  6. Start Tomcat or the w3svc on your server.
Note:

The default locations for the omnimobile.properties file are:
  • SYS:\Tomcat\33\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\classes (GW 6.5 on NW 6)
  • SYS:\Tomcat\4\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\classes (GW 6.5 on OES/NW 6.5)
  • SYS:\Tomcat\33\webapps\gw\WEB-INF\classes (GW 7 on NW6)
  • SYS:\Tomcat\4\webapps\gw\WEB-INF\classes (GW7 on OES/NW 6.5)

  • /var/opt/novell/tomcat4/webapps/gw/WEB-INF/classes (GW 6.5 or 7.x on SLES 9)

  • c:\novell\java\servlets (GW 6.5 on Windows)
  • c:\novell\tomcat5.5\webapps\gw\WEB-INF\classes (GW 7.x on Windows)
