Question:  Is there a specific Daylight Savings Time patch for the Omni Mobile client or Omni Mobile server module?

No, there is no DST patch for the Omni Mobile server module or for the Omni Mobile Client.   You do, however, have to tell the Omni Mobile client when DST starts and you must make sure to apply the GroupWise Webaccess DST Patches in the correct order.

Omni Mobile Client:   To "activate" Daylight Savings Time on your device, on March 11 (or other appropriate date), select Menu / Tools / Options and put a check in the "Is DST?" checkbox.  Save the changes and Exit from Omni Mobile.  When you next start Omni Mobile, it will now know to carry out the proper adjustments to your calendar.  As long as your device has the correct time and your WebAccess server is properly patched with the new DST values, Omni Mobile will properly handle Daylight Savings Time for viewing and scheduling appointments.  To turn DST off for the Omni Mobile client, uncheck the "Is DST?" checkbox.

Omni Mobile Server:  There is no specific Omni Mobile server module DST patch.  It is CRITICAL, however, that you follow the proper order to apply the GroupWise WebAccess DST patches to the WebAccess server running the Omni Mobile module.

Please see the information below.

WARNING:  The process to install the GroupWise WebAccess DST patches on a WebAccess server running Omni Mobile is the same as applying any other WebAccess patch.  The Omni Mobile server information must be backed up and UNINSTALLED BEFORE applying DST patches to the hosting server.  After applying the DST patches, reinstall Omni Mobile.  Carrying out this re-install / un-install process will not delete or change any of the user synchronisation information.  If DST patches have been applied without uninstalling Omni Mobile, contact Omni support at 780-423-4200 or email support@omni-ts.com to get assistance in  restoring Omni Mobile.

WARNING:  If you are running Omni Mobile server on Windows servers, please refer to BUG - Corrupt Upgrade Installation on Windows Servers / GW 7.0.1 for the correct procedures to uninstall and reinstall the Omni Mobile server.  A good backup is critical, so follow the steps closely.

References:  You should read this material before proceeding with DST patches:
