Question:  What are the most common LDAP values used in the Omni Riva Managed Signatures module.

Answer: In the Managed Signature policy "Signature Edit Form", each LDAP value must be properly mapped to the correct eDirectory attribute value to push the correct information from eDirectory into the managed signature.  Some of the common LDAP to eDirectory associations used by the Riva Managed Signature module are:
  • LDAP Value = eDirectory value (as seen in ConsoleOne)

  • GIVENNAME = Given name:
  • SN = Last Name: (do not use SURNAME)
  • TITLE = Title:
  • OU = Department:
  • TELEPHONENUMBER = Telephone:
  • FACSIMILETELEPHONENUMBER = Fax Number:
  • MOBILE = Cell Number:
  • MAIL = E-Mail Address:
Refer to "Creating Multiple Signatures Using a Managed Signature Policy" in the "Riva Modules and Reports Guide" for detailed instructions  on creating managed signatures.

Tip:  If you need to identify more extensive eDirectory to LDAP associations, you can download and use a LDAP Browser tool like "Softterra LDAP Browser".
