Problem:  Several European customers have reported that Riva is not loading their Riva licence files.  When they mouse over the policy module(s) that should be licensed, Riva reports it is licensed in DEMO mode.

Cause:  This is a time/date format bug that is causing Riva to not load licences if they are systems that are not set to US location.

Temporary Resolution:  This has been fixed for the next release.  In the interim, you will need to change the system that is running Riva to use US as the location:
  1. Click Start > Settings > Regional and Language Options.
  2. Set the Language to "English (United States)".
  3. Set the Location to "United States".
  4. Click Apply or OK.
  5. Restart the Riva application.
Recommended Practise:  If modifying regional settings will cause difficulties with other tasks normally performed by the Windows OS, you can run a Microsoft or VMware VM of Windows XP Pro to host the Riva application.

Reporting:  If changing regional locale settings does not correct the problem, please fill in a "Contact Us" form, or use the "Submit Issue Report" feature in the Riva application to report the issue.

Resolution:  This issue will be corrected in the next release of Riva.
