Question:  A customer asked "Can you set random passwords on a GW external entity with EMU?"

Answer:  It is not possible for EMU to see or access "GroupWise Only" accounts or "External Entity" accounts.  The GroupWise admin API that EMU uses requires that GroupWise user objects have a corresponding eDirectory user account.

It is not possible to modify existing "GroupWise Only" accounts or "External Entity" accounts using EMU.

Will it ever be possible for EMU to handle External Entity stuff?  Or is there just not enough demand for it to make it worthwhile for you guys?

Does anyone know of any other "bulk-import" utility that CAN handle External Entity stuff?  We're thinking about using either Microsoft's Live@EDU or GoogleApps for our student accounts, and my thinking now is that I'd rather keep the distribution list for "ALL_STUDENTS" in my Groupwise/eDirectory rather than out on the Live or Apps site (seems less likely that the distribution list could be spammed that way.)  But doing that requires using external entities for the student accounts, so I'm trying to figure out if there's anything that can create the external entities.
