Background - In some circumstances, we modify Riva to fix a customer-reported issue.  In order to test the "fix", we will need the customer to update to an Interim Release of Riva.

Update to Interim Release Update Server of Riva:
  1. Close the Riva application.
  2. Create an empty text file using Notepad and save it as "INTERIM" (no .txt extension) in the Riva installation folder where the Riva.exe file is located (usually c:\Program Files\Omni\Riva).
  3. Launch the Riva application.
  4. Click "Check for Updates" and complete the download and update wizard to the latest INTERIM release.
  5. Once the update download is complete, close and restart the Riva application.
  6. Once Riva is started, click the top-left Riva logo and confirm that you are running the latest INTERIM release.
Revert back the Public Release Update Server of Riva:
  1. Delete the INTERIM file in the Riva installation folder.
  2. Close and restart the Riva application.

Note
- You will continue to run the installed INTERIM version, but all future "Check for Updates" will update to public release version of Riva.  Riva will not update until the next public release version of Riva is a higher number than the currently installed INTERIM release number.
