How to Manually Update Riva Policies, Reports and Managed Applications

Some customers have advised that their installation of Riva is unable to perform a "Check for Updates" from the Riva application.

NOTE:  These steps do not apply to Riva Managed Applications - Secure Distribution List

These are the steps to manually update Riva Policies, Reports and Managed Applications for GroupWise:
  1. Make a backup copy of the \Riva\Application, \Riva\Configuration and \Riva\Licenses folders.
  2. Register and download the latest public release of the riva-latest.zip file. 
  3. Extract the riva-latest.zip file and and save a copy of the "Riva" folder over the existing \Riva folder for your installed instance of Riva.  This will reset the \Riva\Application\Base as the location for the current Riva executable files and your desktop shortcuts will continue to run as before.
  4. Start the Riva application.  Click the logo in the top left corner and confirm that the latest release version has been installed.
