Hello,

i´m working with a trial version of RIVA. The server I installed Riva to is a Windows 2003 Server 32bit.

First I created a AD User calles rivaadmin and give him full access to the test mailboxes.
Then I created two connections in Riva, one for Exchange 2007 and one for SugarCRM.

The connection Test was successfull in both cases:
SugarCRM = Test succeeded
Exchange = Passed! Connection was successful
Got Inbox: True
Got Contacts: True
Got Calendar: True
Got Tasks: Tue

I created a synchronization with "Use Impersonation".
In the Riva Monitor I can see an error message:
Connection to Exchange Server failed: Request failed.
407 Proxyauthentification requird

The Riva Server and the Exchange Server are in the same LAN.

If I try to open the webmail or the ews site on our server I get a popup where I have to put my credentials (username and password)
after clicking OK I get the webmail or the ews xml page.

Hope someone can help me because I want to order Riva this year but I need to know if it works.

Hello, Loki.

Riva uses the proxy settings as configured in Internet Explorer.  On the Windows system hosting Riva, you can either:
  • disable proxy settings in IE which will permit Riva to connect to Exchange directly, or
  • configure Riva for web proxy authentication.  Please refer to "Web Proxy Authentication Support for Riva" for detailed instructions.
