DetailsHow Riva Internet Address Clean-up WorksMany GroupWise Internet Agents were originally installed and configured with INET or GWIA gateway identifiers to allow GroupWise email to be routed to the Internet. Rules-based Internet addressing was used to process email through an Internet Gateway. The result of these installations was that the Gateway information was attached to the email address, either as a prefix, suffix or embedded as part of the email domain name. When these systems are upgraded to GWIA Native Internet Addressing, all address book entries are "broken" and need to be updated. The Riva Internet Address Clean-up Policy for GroupWise provides administrators the ability to centrally update all user address books to modify existing entries that are "broken" after upgrading to GWIA Native Internet Addressing. Riva Internet Address Clean-up allows you to identify which destination accounts are going to be updated. Because Riva uses the Trusted Application Architecture, all changes are made from a workstation without end-user intervention or knowledge. |
