Easy to Install on Client and Server
- The phone components are delivered Over The Air (OTA) - no cables or special devices needed

- The user does NOT have to provide specific server IP number or port number information - the client application is customized on the fly by the provisioning server
- The only info the user has to enter are his GroupWise user name and password

Limitations of Syncaphone
- Syncaphone is NOT A FULL GroupWise client and never will be. It provides a very small GroupWise-like application with basic GroupWise client features
- Syncaphone is limited by the minimum amount of memory dedicated to Java - 200 KB
- Syncaphone is limited by very narrow bandwidth of existing mobile networks
- Syncaphone is a "light-weight" GroupWise client that is targeted at mass market Java phones. It does not bring the on-line/off-line full client features that are available in Omni Mobile for Palm Treo 650, 600, Tungsten; Sony Ericsson 910,900, 800; Nokia Series 60; Pocket PC and Windows Mobile or RIM Blackberry devices
GroupWise Features
- Syncaphone keeps track of the top of your mailbox (from 100 to 20 items) - messages are stored on the phone
- Synchronisation can be done manually or automatically
- Can read emails with UNLIMITED SIZE, but can store on the phone only a limited part of the message
- Can read plain text as well as HTML messages
- Syncrhonises all types of calendar items - appointments, tasks and notes, using its own calendar with a GroupWise look and feel
- Can create, reply, send, delete emails (appointments and tasks only for devices with more than 0.5 MB for Java)
- Can search ALL GroupWise Address Books including GroupWise System Address Book
- Dozens of chosen contacts from GroupWise Address Books can be stored on the phone for off-line access
