System Requirements

Server Requirements

Help Desk Utility (HDU) is compatible with the following products:

  • GroupWise 6.x
  • GroupWise 5.x
  • all versions of Novell eDirectory
  • all versions of Novell Directory Services

Help Desk Utility is compatible with GroupWise, Novell eDirectory and NDS and NetMail installed on the following server platforms:

  • Novell OES
  • Novell NetWare (all versions) 
  • SUSE Linux
  • Microsoft Windows

Server hardware requirements:

  • No special requirements.  HDU leverages your current hardware and software investment.

Server access rights, trustee assignments and permissions:

  • Users require appropriate eDirectory, GroupWise and NetMail rights and trustee assignments in order to use HDU.  For a "ZERO Rights" implementation of Help Desk, refer to eControl at www.omni-ts.com.

Workstation Requirements

  • Windows 9x, NT4 Workstation, 2000 Professional, XP Professional
  • 32 MB RAM
  • 20 MB Available Disk Space
  • GroupWise Client
  • Novell Client with ZEN Workstation Manager must be installed (the ZEN Workstaion Manager component does not have to be active).
