NetMail Notify FAQ

Q: Why would I want to use NetMail Notify?
A: NetMail provides one of the most scalable and reliable email solutions. NetMail supports multiple standards-based email clients. One of its strongest features is its web-based client. One major missing feature from the web-based client is that it does not have a "You have mail!" option. If you are expecting an important email, you have to login to your NetMail account and check it manually. NetMail Notify runs as a background task and notifies you when new mail arrives in your NetMail account.
Q: What happens after I get an email notification?
A: One of NetMail Notify's best appreciated features is that, once you have logged in, it remembers your login information so you don't have to authenticate EVERY time you want to read new mail. Simply click on READ MAIL and you will be connected to your NetMail account for easy reading from your default browser.
Q: I recently installed an Internet Explorer patch and now my NetMail Notify doesn't work. What can I do?
A: To resolve this issue, you will need to update your version of NetMail Notify.
Q: What notification options do I have?
A: NetMail Notify allows you to configure your preferences to automatically check your NetMail account on a scheduled basis for new messages. Got new mail? Double-click on NetMail Notify and it automatically authenticates to your Novell NetMail account and brings up the browser-based interface - no login or password required.
Q: Will NetMail Notify work with my old Windows 98 computer?
A: Version 2.0 of NetMail Notify is compatible with Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000 and XP workstations.
