Novell BrainShare Global 2006–What a Show!
BrainShare Global is always an amazing event – BrainShare Global 2006 was no exception! Omni's focus at the show this year was to build relationships with our global network of channel partners and to meet with a number of Novell executives.
Novell Linux Open Workgroup Suite–"Multiplied"!
We were thrilled to hear about Novell's new Linux Workgroup Suite. The Novell Open Workgroup Suite includes the Linux version of Novell Open Enterprise Server, Novell GroupWise for Linux, Novell ZENworks Suite, SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop and the popular OpenOffice.org.
Omni's Desktop Multiplier complements the Linux Workgroup Suite for SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop deployments for clinical workstations, computer labs, point-of-sale (POS) terminals and corporate and government environments.

GroupWise Mobile Server – Windows Server 2003 Required
Novell's announcement of their "free" GroupWise Mobile Server (Intellisync offering) has actually worked in Omni's favour. It has helped consolidate the number of PIM-based GroupWise solutions in the market. And the fact that GroupWise Mobile Server, BES, GWAnywhere and NotifyLink Enterprise all require additional Windows servers, gateway servers and/or SQL servers, makes Omni Mobile even more attractive.
Omni Mobile helps simplify your mobile GroupWise solution:
- No Windows Server 2003 required!
- Works with your existing GroupWise server and infrastructure
- Installs on your choice of NetWare, Linux or Windows
- Delivers a GroupWise caching client for Palm OS, Windows Mobile, Pocket PC and Sony Ericsson devices
- Provides access to your full mailbox, including multiple folders, calendar, tasks, and multiple address books
- Future support for BlackBerry and Nokia Series 60 devices
