Just in time for summer vacation, Omni is offering a special eControl promotion. At the beginning and of each school year or term, education environments need to bulk create and delete user accounts based on information from their student information system. During the school year, there is also a constant intake of new students and staff and these accounts need to be provisioned and managed. eControl simplifies the user account management and provisioning lifecycle by enabling education customers to quickly and easily delegate user account management and creation tasks to help desk operators, junior administrators, office staff and teachers – with no administrator rights or special permissions required and no access to complex administration tools such as Microsoft Management Console, Task Pads, ConsoleOne or iManager.

Within 20 minutes, a non-technical user can be trained to use eControl to reset user passwords, enable and disable accounts, add or remove users from groups and email distribution lists, release intruder lockout, update directory attributes and many other tasks. Administrators can restrict the tasks and search contexts assigned to each user.

With eControl's multi-system create profiles, a help desk operator or office clerk can fill out a single web-based form and automatically create a user account and information in multiple systems. For example, eControl is ideal for schools that need a simpler and automated way to provision an Active Directory account, Exchange mailbox, user home directory, and write information to a SQL database application from a single eControl Account Create profile. In addition, the eControl web portal is fully audited and improves security and compliance.
