GWAVACon Europe was a resounding success! Over 300 Novell customers and partners gathered in München, Germany, for three days of keynotes, seminars, training and FUN. With Oktoberfest in full swing, Munich was absolutely rockin'!

GWAVACon's Internet Café – six full-featured SLED 10 stations running on a SINGLE SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop computer – was widely used during the show. This white paper summarises the value of pursuing a Multiplied SLED 10 strategy in your classrooms, computer labs, Internet cafes, Internet kiosks, call centres and retail stores.

GroupWise administrators were equally impressed with eControl (web-based, "ZERO Rights" user account management for mixed networks) and Omni Mobile ("NO Windows required" GroupWise mobile solution).

Great job, GWAVA!  See you in January at GWAVACon Dallas... ;-)

Aldo Zanoni explains how eControl can be used to delegate a restricted set of user account management tasks – with ZERO Rights required in GroupWise, eDirectory or the file system.

Attendees share GroupWise best practices with one another over lunch (scratch that...they're bragging about who drank the most at Oktoberfest ;-)

Munich is such a lovely city with so much to see – Deutsches Museum, Schloss Nymphenburg, Olympiapark, Residenz and the Museum District.

View into the Grottenhof of the Residenz, the former home of Bavarian kings and the Wittelsbach dynasty until 1918.

An impressive BMW "ad" at Munich's International Airport. If only a BMW 325i convertible would fit into one of our suitcases...

Ah, yes...the last night of Oktoberfest! Plenty of "bier", boistrous song and even a bit of polka dancing on the tables. What an event!
