eControl 2.5 delivers "ZERO-RIGHTS," user account management and identity management for mixed and multiple eDirectory, GroupWise, Active Directory AND Exchange networks – from a secure browser including IE 7 and Firefox.
Delegate user account management and provisioning to your junior administrators, non-technical personnel, help desk operators, support staff and even end-users. This includes routine tasks such as resetting passwords, enabling and disabling accounts, managing GroupWise distribution lists, releasing intruder lockout and password self-service.
Ideal complement to Novell IDM 3
eControl is an ideal complement to Novell Identity Manager 3. Use Novell IDM to provision your user accounts and eControl to delegate account management tasks to your front line and non-technical resources. All changes made in eControl are be synchronised across your organisation's multiple systems by Novell IDM.
Quick to Deploy, Quick to Use
Some of the differences between eControl and "roles-based management" with iManager is that eControl supports Novell GroupWise and mixed and multiple Novell and Microsoft systems. It installs in only three hours, and training for non-technical users takes minutes rather than days. eControl users with delegated task authority do not require any eDirectory, GroupWise, Active Directory or Exchange knowledge to manage user accounts.
